Grand Hotel Europa Palace - Sorrento

The room was fantastic, we were upgraded on arrival which made our trip that much better! The seaside wharf, beach access and pool were great! Location was excellent, the main piazza was in walking distance and 5-10 min walk to the main train station. Staff were great, breakfast was well catered.

Couldn't understand the necessity of having to wear a swimming cap in the pool.

La beauté du lieu (cadre idyllique - avec piscine donnant sur la mer avec vue sur le Vésuve... nous avons vu très peu d’hôtels capables de proposer de telles prestations à Sorrente) autant que la gentillesse du personnel - toutes nos questions ont trouvé réponse. Nous sommes venus avec notre petit chien - nous avons été extrêmement bien accueillis. L'hotel est à proximité de toutes les comodités (bus, bateau, train, restaurants, magasins) pour visiter les alentours (Naples, Capri, Positano, Amalfi Pompéi......)

Le prix un peu prohibitif des consommations à la piscine. La chambre côté rue un peu bruyante si l'on veut dormir les fenêtres ouvertes - mais honnêtement, qui resterait enfermé dans sa chambre avec un hotel qui propose une magnifique terrasse donnant sur le Vésuve, avec tables et balancelles, séjours magnifiques avec canapés à disposition du public, y compris la télévision (nous avons vu qq tifosi regarder le match à l'hotel)

Stunning location, central for shopping and eating but magnificent views all around. The hotel was elegant and friendly and very comfortable. It was also spacious

We liked everything but improvements could be made to lighting in rooms - reading was difficult at night - and more electricity outlets please and in convenient locations for mobile phone and camera charging etc

Views, rooms were opulent. Room service menu was lovely

Beautiful terrace overlooking breath-taking panoramic view over Bay of Naples. Grand marbled interior spaces for dining, lounge and bar. Spacious bathroom, towel change and maid service twice a day. Well run hotel with efficent, helpful, considerate and courteous staff with excellent friendly bar service from Antoino

The pool is set under the terrace and whilst still bright and warm around the poolside the water is not heated by the sun and was not heated by other means. It was therefore too cold to use other than by the very hardy and even they did not brave it for long. This was disappointing as it would have been lovely to swim in such a lovely location.

The location was A short walk to the main shopping areas of Sorrento

The staff were unfriendly and did not make our stay enjoyable. I asked if they could post some postcards for me and they very bluntly told me the postoffice was not far away.

It was our 3rd time in Europa Palace and the 4th in Sorrento and we loved it as always. The location is the best in Sorrento 5min. Walking distance from the train/bus Station and City Centre. The Jetty in the beach is the best in Sorrento, where we can enjoy the sun and the water of the sea always superb (24º/26º), always with the good service from Vicenzo and António there, that will take you to the chairs with the towels! The Rooms are big and we always stay on the rooms that are on the side of the road and don´t find it noisy! For us is the best hotel in Sorrento,The place to relax and enjoy!

The only down thing that we think hotel could change is the closing time of breakfast, at 10:10 they start removing the food, and at 10:30 everything is already removed.

Fabulous location. with stunning views over the the Bay of Naples right to Capri on one side and Vesuvius straight ahead, truly magnificent panorama. Hotel impressive from outside but tired and outdated inside. rooms ok, bit shabby in parts,, cupboard doors chipped and damaged bathrooms ok with a wierd shower glass, rather ineffective. Breakfast very mediocre, watered down juice, awful canned fruit ( my choice on one day was clearly off ) and awful accompaniments to scrambled eggs ( I think they were viennas....terrible) Staff are rather indifferent, our welcome, was luke warm, agreed it was a busy saturday night but no excuse. and parking was a huge issue until we really had no other option, all parking garages were full so an hour later were allowed to park on the grounds. It is a pity that things arent improved as the location is out of this world, so convenenient to everything and with outstanding vistas.

Location is excellent, views are great and staff is wonderfull. It is one of the few hotels with swimming poolfacing the sea in Sorrento.

On weekends the restaurant was close for weddings, so it was not possible to enjoy lunch & dinner with great views from its terrace.

Great views and a great location. Just a short stroll to main bus station.

View was magnificent of the Naples Gulf. Breakfast (included) was excellent as was the breakfast staff.
